Unterholz is set in a dark, swampy area of medieval Pomerania, near the end of the 1400s. It’s a world similar to our own, but with some differences. Players explore creepy ruins and strange place’s in a swampy forest searching for clues about the people who disappeared there. It is a journey through a spooky forest but also a journey to discover something deep within yourself.

The game is short but has a powerful mood with some sword fighting and a few puzzles and the goal is to figure out what happened to the people who vanished and to understand’s the mystery hidden in the forest. Most of the story is told through the world itself, letting players explore at their own pace in a small, open-world environment and the story unfolds as players go further into the game.

Unterholz Repack Download combines different way’s to experience the game. Instead of popping up menus or loading screens, you can explore, check your inventory, or read things without any breaks. The sounds and music were specially made to set the mood as you journey through the woods.

It took me around two years to make’s this game in my spare time. I wanted the game to feel’s real and detailed. I included documents that look like actual texts from the 15th century, written in Old German by a friend who studies languages. These texts are in a style and font used back then, so players can inspect them closely in the game.

I tried to keep things as historically accurate as possible, though I combined details from different time periods to make the world more interesting. For example, the main character’s armor is inspired by decorative Renaissance designs, meant to feel like the noble knights in old paintings rather than what knights really wore in battle. Unterholz uses the idea of noble knights to tell a story that might not match their true lives.

Professional voice actors play some of the characters in the game, and their words may have hidden meanings. Listen carefully to understand what happened to these cursed land’s.

The full soundtrack I made for Unterholz is also included as a free bonus with the game. I created the music as part of the whole game experience, with some tracks written years before the game development even began.
